This role is vital in overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
Manage the preparation of the company's budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; CPA or related certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Proven working experience as a Financial controller.
Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
