The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the completion of general maintenance tasks including some service requests and turnover functions (based on individual ability to complete tasks) in order to assist in maintaining and preserving the asset and to provide a quality living environment for the residents. The Maintenance Technician I maybe called upon to perform groundskeeper responsibilities and responsible for performing all work duties in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company safety policies, and for relaying information to management regarding property operations or conditions which could constitute a physical or liability hazard.
Complete service requests assigned by the supervisors, detail turnover units, and satisfactorily complete all turnover punch list items
Knowledge and basic skills in plumbing, repairing appliances, electrical, lock replacement, drywall repair, and carpentry
Assistance with installations and basic property maintenance upkeep
One-year experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred
Some basic mechanical aptitude, understanding of building materials and tools
Ability to print, read, and speak simple in English
Must be able to function effectively in a customer service environment and carry out instructions
Must be available for on-call services
