Project Managers will lead engineering teams to develop custom engineered technology solutions through proposal, program launch, development, qualification and certification.

We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for Aerospace Project Manager within our Program Management Office.
Project Managers work within a structured Program Management office and are accountable for project management related to engineering product development, including planning, monitoring, control, and closeout of assigned engineering product development and product modification projects in alignment with standardized, structured Project Management Institute best practices. Work directly with Customers, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to bring projects to full development.
Responsible for the management of one or more product development projects, including product re-designs. Assignments will be to specific projects that are defined and controlled by in-house or customer directed specifications. Supervision is minimal with Senior Project Managers being allowed broad latitude in development of personal management style.
Effectiveness is primarily evaluated through project success measured by accomplishment of project cost control, schedule milestones adherence, and overall product and process quality. Secondary measurement of performance is through conferences, reports and review of accomplishments. This position requires a basic working knowledge of program management requirements and techniques in an engineering product development environment. Efficient application requires good planning and communication skills, maturity and exceptional ability to lead and interact with people.
Responsibilities:
Program Planning
Plan programs from proposal and go-ahead to close-out, using Work Breakdown Structures, Risk Management, Communication Management, Schedule Management, and Budget Management to effectively manage the complete life-cycle development of Aerospace products.
Create, monitor, and update program plans in sufficient detail which define the required processes/activities of various functional groups to achieve customer-defined milestones/deliverables.
Customer Coordination
Primary point of customer contact for program execution. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers through frequent oral and written communication.
Coordinate technical and program progress as required by customers
Transition To Production
Concurrently manage the production environment definition and development to facilitate a complete and orderly transition of the product from the programs engineering design and development phase to full scale production through a standardized production readiness review process.
Leadership & Management
Lead, manage, and motivate Integrated Product Teams (IPT) through effective utilization of personnel assigned to the project from all functional groups within the company. Coordinate sufficient in-house product reviews with various functional groups to ensure product designs can be manufactured and profitable while satisfying customer specifications.
Develop and ensure adherence to standard processes and procedures throughout all phases of the program.
Coordinate with supply chain and operations team members to facilitate the new product introduction process that satisfies program hardware delivery requirements.
Mentor and oversee projects managed by assigned Project Managers.
Proposal Review
Review and evaluate technical and business aspects of customer requests for proposals and/or change requests.
Lead the preparation of customer bid packages and internal project appropriation requests including coordination and review of statement of work, technical proposals, engineering cost estimates, and program schedules.
Scope Management
Proactively manage project scope to ensure only what was agreed to is delivered.
Ensure changes in scope are thoroughly documented and approved through a standardized change management process prior to investing company resources.
Cost Management
Monitor and control program costs associated with non-recurring engineering activities during the Design and Development phases of the program.
Maintain project team focus on the initial business model and design to cost targets related to recurring product cost.
Issue/Risk Management
Identify, track, manage, and assist in resolving program issues.
Identify, manage, and assist in mitigation of program risks (technical, schedule, and cost) through a standardized risk management process.
Metrics & Progress Reviews
Proactively disseminate project information to stakeholders (core team, leadership team, and customers) by defining, collecting, and presenting program metrics in a standardized program review/audit process. Metrics include program schedule, costs, and completion of program deliverables.
Conduct sufficient in-house design reviews per Aerospace Group Product Development Process to assure program products are manufacturable and profitable while meeting customer specifications.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 10+ years experience in Program/Project Management, Project Engineering, or related project leadership position working on electronics hardware with embedded software. Prefer Aerospace or other regulated engineering product development experience.
Knowledge: Program/Project Management knowledge of highly engineered product development processes to sufficiently perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibility.
Skills: Ability and maturity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of company personnel. Ability to plan, organize, manage, and control one or more programs. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Good business sense, with a fundamental understanding of business initiatives and company-wide activities both within and outside of the engineering discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other PC based office tools. Possess sufficient Electrical/Mechanical/Technical aptitude to understand operation of electronics and electro/mechanical devices.
Education/Certification: Bachelor Level degree in a technical discipline, business administration, or equivalent experience in technical field, preferably electronics. Training in Project Management or Program Management Institute Certified preferred.
Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
Working Conditions:
Requires approximately 5% - 15% travel to support customers

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
