Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a _Production Supervisor_ in Lynnwood, WA to join our high performing Precision Transducer Products (PTP) Team.

As a Crane Aerospace _Production Supervisor_ you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of assemblers and technicians in a lean, highly complex, electronics manufacturing operations in order to maintain on-schedule production and quality within cost objectives. Supervision may encompass more than one shift.
_Production Supervisor Responsibilities_ :
MANAGE PEOPLE
Represent, support, and align with all Crane initiatives as a member of management
Conduct hiring and releasing of workers as required in order to maintain production schedules
Create a work environment conducive to increasing employee morale and motivation in order to accomplish performance objectives
Supervise and evaluate performance
Reward and recognize performance
Maintain accurate records of group and individual production performance
Conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews utilizing appropriate human resources policies and procedures
Ensure training plans are implemented and effective; Build a flexible team through cross-training initiatives
Maintain good employee relations and adherence to policies and procedures; Take appropriate disciplinary action as required
MEET SAFETY, QUALITY, DELIVERY and COST METRICS
Stay ahead of issues
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments to ensure products are built, assembled, and/or tested within appropriate parameters
Develop and maintain visual management tools including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) boards and performance charts to monitor progress to goals on key metrics, prioritize issues, and drive action from both the direct team and support functions
Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals and ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor cells activities, individual assembly and machine operations to ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials, production efficiency and schedule adherence
Drive continuous improvement activities
Improve processes to eliminate wasteful practices within the department
Create and maintain an environment where workers recommend and implement changes in procedures to improve value-added activities and eliminate non-value added activities
Lead improvement activities through hands on application and teaching of Crane Business System (CBS) lean improvement tools
Maintain neat and clean work areas and ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards; Ensure a safe work environment for all employees
Solve Problems
Identify and investigate production and or safety problem areas and take corrective action to ensure schedule adherence, minimize cost variances, maintain or improve quality standards, and maintain or improve work conditions
Assume ownership of the root cause, corrective actions, and follow up of all issues and resolutions
_Minimum Requirements_ :
__Experience__: 3
years' experience working in a lean or six sigma environment. Prefer experience as a supervisor or manager.
__Knowledge__: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other lean techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and/or distribution of goods; Administration and Management; Customer Service; Human Resources; Education and Training;

__Education__/__Certification__: AAS degree required. Prefer Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or related field. Prefer tool champion or black belt certification.
__Eligibility Requirement__: Must be a US Person under _International Traffic in Arms Regulations_ (ITAR)

_Working Conditions_ :
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats
